Ko Phi Phi, Thailand
So I know I’m a bit late on this one (better late than never!), but I wanted share our super rad experience on the island of Ko Phi Phi. Here’s a few things you gotta check out:
Long Boat Ride
For about 2200 to 2400 baht, you can get a private boat ride to Monkey Beach, Maya Bay (where The Beach was filmed) or your choice. There are guys posted up by the coast line offering rides, so don’t worry you’ll be able to find one. Our driver took us out for 4 hours and brought snorkel equipment #Score.
Charlie House Restaurant
There’s Thai food available throughout the island, but finding other types of food is hard to come by. Charlie House Restaurant had a great selection and it’s super cute inside.
Viewpoint
If you want to get in some exercise on your vacation, a trip to the Viewpoint is the ultimate stair master. Bring some money because there is a fee and you may wanna grab a water bottle once you reach the top, but it’s totally worth it. On your way to the top, you’ll see lots of beautiful flowers and butterflies flying around. Plus, nothing beats that view.
Reggae Bar
This bar is drinking and a show. You can kick-box a friend (or stranger) for a bucket of alcohol or watch people kick-box for a bucket of alcohol haha. It's really awesome to check out at night (that's when the island comes alive.)
Unni's Restaurant
Another great restaurant choice if you're looking for something other than Thai food (trust me, after 2 weeks in Thailand you need variety.) It wasn't difficult to get a seat and the food is delicious! (I got a chicken special they had with avocado mash...mmmm!)
Fish Doctor
These mother-suckers don’t mess around. Stick your feet in a large fish tank full of fish and watch them suck the dead skin off your feet and lower legs. I’m SUPER ticklish, so this was pretty gnarly for me.
